Journal Entry: Fri Mar 2, 2007, 6:30 AM
February 13
One of my goldfish died!!!!!!!! It died from a gill disease!!!!!! It's name is Droopsy and she is a very old fish(though not as old as the fat one named Gulpy)! :(
It happened when I was at some swimming carnival at school and when I found out that my dad threw Droopsy's dead body in the garbage bin (which was put in a garbage truck to go to a rubbish dump) I was REALLY sad! and when I mean REALLY I mean REALLY!

Another goldfish died and this time it was GULPY!!!!!
Gulpy was the oldest fish in the tank (like nearly as old as me 12)
She died from a sickness which caused her to internally bleed. She had bloody scars over her white body (she became white due to lack of sun but that was like two years ago) and her eyelids were red.
When I found out she died this time, I didn't feel too sad than when Droopsy died because she HAD to die. She needed her misery to end!
Also my dad buried her!
*sigh* I'm going to miss her! :(

Curse of the Evil Fish Tank continues...

My black moor died this time.
In the past few weeks it had been separated from other fish for bullying.
When he was released back into the tank, he wasn't as active as before. few days later and I found he had white spot disease and one of his eyes were foggy and it had a tiny worm inside. a PARASITE!!!!!

A parasite? You know, the fish only bully others because they're going to die. Like my black moor. It had fin rot, and all the other fish attacked it so it would die quicker, and so none of them would catch it.

but the black moor bullied the others. it didn't get bullied which is a strange thing!

Y'know there is medication to prevent sickness.
Whoever is in charge of the upkeep of the tank/or yourself should do research to prevent these diseases.
Gill disease is treatable and parasites are treatable as well.
Trust me I know- after spending about 300 US dollars on a new tank with heater and all those chemicals. Its easier to just get a puppy.

They really aren't, the most you would spend on a bottle could be 10 dollars really.
